Dylan Harper ready to return to action with the Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs rookie, Dylan Harper, is set to return to the court this Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, after missing 10 games due to a left calf strain.
Harper confirmed his game plan for the match against the Trail Blazers during the team’s morning practice at the Moda Center.
The injury occurred while defending a dunk by Nick Richards during a game on November 2 against Phoenix. A subsequent MRI confirmed the strain.
Before the injury, 19-year-old Harper averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in his first six games, shooting 50% from the field and 35.7% from 3-point range. The No. 2 draft pick is expected to come off the bench against the Blazers.
The French phenomenon Victor Wembanyama (calf) and guard Stephon Castle (hip flexor strain) remain out, but are expected to be re-evaluated soon to begin the return process.
