Scotty Pippen Jr. will undergo surgery for a toe injury
Memphis Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. will undergo surgery due to an injury to his left big toe, the team announced.
The player will be reevaluated in 12 weeks.
Pippen Jr. started in 21 games with the Grizzlies last season, averaging 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
The son of Chicago Bulls legend and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen was not selected in the 2022 draft, coming from Vanderbilt, and spent his rookie season on a dual contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, participating in six games.
The Grizzlies signed the point guard to a dual contract in January 2024, and he averaged almost 13 points and 4.7 assists in 21 games with Memphis.
