NBA Expands: Upcoming Games in Europe
The NBA continues its global expansion and has announced that it will play at least six regular season games in Europe over the next three seasons. The exciting initiative will begin with two matches between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic this season. The Grizzlies and the Magic will face each other in Berlin on January 15th and in London on January 18th. These games promise to be a highlight event for European basketball fans. The NBA schedule will also include games in Manchester, England, and Paris in the 2026-27 season. Subsequently, the league will return to Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season, thus consolidating its presence on the continent. The matches will take place in major European arenas, including the Uber Arena in Berlin, The O2 in London, the Co-op Live in Manchester, and the Accor Arena in Paris.The game in Berlin in January will mark the 14th NBA game in Germany since 1984, but it will be the first regular season game in the country. This match will be especially significant for Magic players Franz and Moritz Wagner, who play for the German national team. This season’s game in London will be the tenth regular season game in the city. Manchester will host a regular season game for the first time, while Paris has hosted five regular season games, including two last season between the Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs. The complete NBA schedule for the 2025-26 season is expected to be released in mid-August.
