Aaron Gordon Doubtful for Game 7: Thigh Injury

Denver Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain, putting his participation in the crucial Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder this Sunday in doubt.

The news arises after his exit from Game 6, where the player felt discomfort in his thigh during the last quarter.

Gordon, a key piece in the Nuggets’ championship in the 2022-23 season, has proven to be a fundamental element in the current postseason.

His playoff averages reach career highs, with 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, in addition to having starred in decisive plays.

A relevant fact is that the Nuggets have a 5-0 record this postseason when Gordon scores at least 20 points. In Game 6, Gordon tied his playoff career-high with 7 assists.

Gordon has been responsible for two game-winning shots this postseason: a buzzer-beating dunk in Game 4 against the LA Clippers and a three-pointer with three seconds remaining in Game 1 against the Thunder. He also scored a three-pointer that forced overtime in the Game 3 victory against Oklahoma City.

Injuries have limited the 29-year-old Gordon to only 51 games during the regular season. He had to sit out in several stretches due to a right calf strain, an injury he is still managing.
