Giannis Antetokounmpo, star of the Milwaukee Bucks and renowned NBA champion, shone with 30 points and 17 rebounds. His stellar performance was crucial for the victory. The player expressed his emotion after the triumph, highlighting the pride of representing his country:

This is the sixth time Greece has been on the EuroBasket podium, with two gold medals, one silver and three bronze.

From Finland, Lauri Markkanen, a player for the Utah Jazz, stood out with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Greece, which led the scoreboard throughout the match with a maximum lead of 17 points, saw Finland try to come back in the final minutes. However, Greece managed to stay calm. Elias Valtonen had the opportunity to tie the game with three free throws with five seconds left, but missed the third. Antetokounmpo secured the victory for Greece by controlling the rebound and scoring two free throws. In the semifinals, Greece was defeated by Turkey, while Germany defeated Finland. Germany took the gold by defeating Turkey.
