Knicks Sink Against Pacers and Complicate Themselves in the Conference Finals

The New York Knicks suffered a tough loss to the Indiana Pacers, falling 114-109 at Madison Square Garden and going down 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

After an exciting comeback attempt in the final minutes, led by Jalen Brunson, the Knicks failed to secure the victory. Brunson, despite his efforts, missed a crucial three-pointer that would have tied the game in the final seconds.

“Obviously, they do a very good job of moving the ball and forcing you to make mistakes, and we have to be more solid defensively to defend the first action, the second action, but also the third action,” commented Josh Hart.

The Knicks’ defense was the main problem, especially in the key moments of the game. The Pacers took advantage of the Knicks’ defensive weaknesses, scoring important three-pointers and finding spaces in the zone.

Pascal Siakam was a nightmare for the Knicks, scoring 39 points. In addition, the Pacers proved effective from the three-point line, making 13 of 30 attempts.

The absence of a solid defense and lack of focus were key factors in the defeat. The Knicks must now improve their game in Indiana to avoid falling to 3-0.

Coach Tom Thibodeau is considering changes to the starting lineup for the third game, seeking a crucial victory.

Mitchell Robinson, who offered valuable minutes, suffered an ankle injury, which could affect his performance in the future.

The Knicks need greater focus and determination to compete against the Pacers.

“Mental concentration, everything, has to be there. There is no doubt about it at this moment,” Brunson said.
