SALT LAKE CITY – Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin continues to break records in his rookie season. In Friday night’s victory against the Utah Jazz, Demin made a three-pointer, marking his thirty-fourth consecutive game with at least one three-pointer, setting a new record for a rookie in the NBA. Demin achieved this milestone on the first basket of the game for the Nets. He finished the game with 25 points, the most on the team, and an impressive 6 of 12 from the three-point line.

There’s a reason we chose him in the draft. We believed his shooting ability was NBA level, and he’s shown it from the start.

Jordie Fernandez, coach of the Brooklyn Nets
Before this achievement, Demin was tied with Rudy Fernandez (Portland, 2008-09) and Landry Shamet (Philadelphia, 2018-19).

You see how the confidence grows in him. Who knows what Egor can become in the coming years.

Demin, selected in the eighth position of last year’s draft, attributes his success to the extra hours dedicated to perfecting his shot. This effort has transformed his game, especially compared to his only season at BYU, where his three-point shooting percentage was 27.3%. Demin is also close to another record. He has scored the second-most three-pointers for a rookie in Nets history, only behind Kerry Kittles, who made 158 three-pointers in the 1996-97 season.
