Rockets’ Tari Eason Out Due to Injury

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason will be out for four to six weeks due to an oblique strain, head coach Ime Udoka told the media on Saturday.

Eason, 24, did not participate in the second half of the Rockets’ crushing victory over the Trail Blazers on Friday. At that time, the team reported that it was due to a hip contusion.

In the game, Eason played 11 minutes and scored 3 points.

Eason has had injury problems at the start of his NBA career. In the previous two seasons, he only participated in 79 games in total.

This summer, he didn’t reach an agreement with the Rockets for a contract extension, which will make him a restricted free agent next offseason.

In 11 games this season with Houston, Eason is averaging 11.5 points and 5.2 rebounds.
