In a tense moment during Sunday night’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans, Warriors player Draymond Green got involved in a verbal altercation with a fan. The incident occurred when Green approached the fan, identified as Sam Green, 35 years old and originally from New Orleans, who was celebrating after Green was penalized for a foul. According to Sam Green, he was taunting Draymond Green with chants related to “Angel Reese”, referring to the initial rebounds of the Warriors player, which resulted from missed shots.Sam Green stated that Draymond Green yelled insults at him and threatened to hit him if he continued with the provocations. The game officials intervened quickly, separating Green from the fan. Sam Green received a warning but was able to remain in his front-row seat. Warriors coach Steve Kerr mentioned that he couldn’t comment extensively on the incident. Draymond Green, known for his confrontational attitude on the court, has been fined previously for interactions with fans.
