Draymond Green Out with Foot Sprain

The Golden State Warriors’ power forward, Draymond Green, will not be present in Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz due to a sprain in his right foot. Green suffered the injury when Trail Blazers’ pivot, Donovan Clingan, fell on him during a fight for a loose ball on Friday, in the 127-123 home defeat. This is the latest absence for the Warriors’ frontcourt, which is already depleted. Jonathan Kuminga will miss his sixth consecutive game due to bilateral tendinitis in his knee, and Al Horford will be out for at least a week due to sciatic nerve irritation on his right side. Kuminga’s knee MRIs revealed no structural damage, according to sources. The player has been reporting discomfort for about two weeks, and the Warriors had hoped he could participate in a workout on Sunday, but it was not possible.

He said he’s not moving very well, so I can’t say what the prognosis is. He needs to feel better and be able to move better before we can put him on the court.

Horford retired to the locker room in the third quarter after playing 18 minutes against the Blazers. Initially, the team ruled him out with a hamstring strain, but later updated the diagnosis to a sciatic problem. He will miss at least the next three games against the Jazz, Blazers and Pelicans.
