Luka Doncic Reveals Physical Transformation After an Intense Summer of Work

Luka Doncic, a prominent figure in the NBA, has shared details about his impressive physical transformation during the summer. The player, known for his talent on the court, has placed special emphasis on improving his health and physical condition, which has resulted in notable changes. Doncic, who has been training in Croatia for the last two months, claims to have taken “a huge step” in his preparation. “My whole body looks better,” he stated, reflecting the dedication and effort invested.

The player followed a strict gluten-free and low-sugar diet, combined with intermittent fasting and a high protein intake, reaching at least 250 grams daily.
This combination, along with a rigorous training program, has yielded surprising results. Doncic, who has faced criticism about his weight and physical condition throughout his career, has undergone a notable visual transformation.

The 2024-25 season was marked by injuries for Doncic, including the trade that took him to the Lakers. A calf injury limited his participation to 50 combined games with the Mavericks and the Lakers. Doncic, 26 years old, has two years remaining on his contract with Los Angeles, including a player option for the 2026-27 season. The Lakers can offer him a four-year, $222 million extension starting August 2nd.
According to reports, Doncic contacted his representative immediately after the Lakers’ elimination, expressing his desire to begin his training program immediately. “Every summer I try to work on different things,” Doncic commented, adding that this summer he felt a special motivation to improve even more. The training included a month without basketball, according to the physiotherapist Javier Barrio, who pointed out that Doncic did not resume shooting practice until June. Doncic also revealed that he was inspired by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who, according to him, “sacrificed a lot” in their off-season training.

“This year, with my team, I think we took a big step. But this is just the beginning. I need to keep going. I can’t stop.”
