Anthony Davis Returns to Action, But the Lakers Take the Victory

After almost a month of absence, Anthony Davis returned to the courts with the Dallas Mavericks. His former coach, JJ Redick, promised to pay him special attention, and so it was from the start of the match against the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis, who had been out since October 29 due to a left calf injury, finished the game with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. He was 6 of 10 from the field and did not attempt any free throws in 28 minutes, slightly exceeding the established minute restriction.

Davis revealed that he felt ready to return a few weeks ago, but after the concern of the Mavericks’ director of health and performance, his return was postponed. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, with a 5-15 record after Friday’s loss.
