Curry, out of action: Warriors in trouble against Timberwolves

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will not be on the court for the crucial Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as reported to Alofoke Deportes. The injury to his left hamstring will keep him sidelined at a critical moment for the team.

“Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t,” Curry stated, referring to his injury.

Curry’s absence comes after the Warriors’ Game 4 loss, where the Timberwolves prevailed with a score of 117-110. With a 3-1 deficit in the Western Conference semifinals, the Warriors face the need to win in Minneapolis to keep their hopes of advancing alive. Curry suffered a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring during the second quarter of Game 1, on May 6, and will be reevaluated on Wednesday.

Draymond Green, Curry’s teammate, emphasized that the Warriors will not force Curry’s return if he is not fully recovered. “We’re not going to ‘Superman’ this,” Green stated, highlighting the importance of caution in Curry’s recovery.

In Game 4, Curry’s absence was especially felt in the third quarter, where the Timberwolves managed a 17-0 run that made the difference in the game. The Warriors were outscored 39-17 in that crucial period.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr noted that the team will seek solutions to improve performance in the next game, especially on offense. The team will need its key players to raise their level to have a chance of success.

Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves star, expressed his desire to face Curry on the court, acknowledging the importance of the Warriors point guard in the game. Edwards highlighted his admiration for Curry and his impact on basketball.
