Curry Advances in His Recovery: Possible Return for a Game 6?

Good news for Golden State Warriors fans. Stephen Curry has been cleared to take shots and do light workouts on the court, despite a left hamstring strain. This opens the possibility of the star player playing in a hypothetical sixth game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The team re-evaluated Curry on Wednesday before the crucial Game 5, which they had to win without their star. The official report indicated that Curry is “progressing favorably” in his recovery from the injury suffered in the first game of the second-round series.

If the Warriors manage to beat the Timberwolves, Curry will be reevaluated on Saturday, preparing for a potential Game 6 in San Francisco on Sunday. The three-day rest between Games 5 and 6 would give Curry additional time to recover.

Curry traveled with the team to Minneapolis, although he was already ruled out for the fourth consecutive game, according to the official injury report on Tuesday.

Curry’s hamstring injury, the first of his career, adds to the list of setbacks that have affected key players in these NBA playoffs. This has impacted the Warriors’ performance, hindering their ability to generate space on offense and score points. The team averages 17 turnovers per game in the series and has a 36% three-point shooting percentage.

Starting guard Brandin Podziemski has struggled in the first four games, going 9-of-40 from the field, including 3-of-17 from three-point range, accumulating only 30 points in the series.
