Jalen Brunson Returns to Action with the Knicks
The stellar New York Knicks player, Jalen Brunson, is ready to return to the court this Wednesday night, facing the Dallas Mavericks. Brunson missed a week of play due to a grade 1 right ankle sprain.
The injury occurred on November 12, during a home game against the Orlando Magic. Brunson suffered the injury while attempting an offensive play, with less than two minutes remaining in the game.
Brunson was evaluated daily and missed two games against the Miami Heat.
This injury affects the same ankle that Brunson twisted last season, which forced him to miss 15 games. Initially, it was estimated that recovery would take two weeks, but he was ultimately out longer before returning for the playoffs. Although he seemed to aggravate the injury in the first round, he showed no major problems during New York’s participation in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Before this injury, Brunson was averaging 28 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game with the Knicks, who have an 8-5 record.
