Free agent center Bismack Biyombo has signed a one-year contract to return to the San Antonio Spurs, as announced this Monday.
The agreement between the Spurs and Biyombo’s representatives, from the Wasserman agency, was finalized for his 15th season in the NBA. Last season, Biyombo averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 28 games.
Biyombo joined the Spurs in February and now returns as a backup center, behind Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet.
Since being selected in the seventh position of the NBA draft in 2011, Biyombo has played for seven teams in the league. Throughout his career, he has averaged 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 19.5 minutes per game, in a total of 867 games, of which 377 were as a starter.
