Amazon Reveals its Broadcast Schedule for the NBA Cup
Amazon has announced its broadcast schedule for the NBA Cup, with Prime Video leading the coverage with 17 games, including the championship.
The league also revealed the general schedule of the NBA Cup, with several matchups already assigned to television networks.
Prime Video will stream 10 games from the NBA Cup group stage and knockout rounds. Its “NBA Cup Nights on Prime” will feature five consecutive weeks of group stage doubleheaders starting October 31. That night, Boston will visit Philadelphia and Memphis will host the Los Angeles Lakers.
On November 7th, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will host the Houston Rockets and their new acquisition Kevin Durant. Afterwards, Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors will visit Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets.
On November 14, Miami visits New York and Golden State visits San Antonio. On November 21, Cleveland will host Indiana and Denver will visit Houston. On November 28, Milwaukee will travel to New York and the Lakers, with LeBron James and Luka Doncic, will host Dallas.
The other 50 group stage games will be split between ESPN, NBC, and NBA League Pass.
There will be group stage matches on November 25 on NBC, when Philadelphia hosts Orlando and the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Lakers.
ESPN will broadcast a trio of group stage games on November 26. Detroit visits Boston, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and defending champion Oklahoma City host Minnesota in a rematch of the Western Conference Finals, and Golden State hosts Houston.
Earlier this week, the opening night, Christmas, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day games were announced.
The full schedule, 80 of the 82 games for all teams, will be released on Thursday. The remaining two games for each team will be announced in December based on the teams’ performance in the NBA Cup.
