LA ROMANA – Los Toros del Este staged a spectacular comeback, led by a stellar performance by Yairo Muñoz, to defeat the Leones del Escogido 8-5 in an exciting Round Robin game at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium. Muñoz was the key figure of the match, driving in five runs, including a home run and a bases-loaded triple in the seventh inning, which changed the course of the game.

The bullfighting infielder hit his first home run of the Round Robin, driving the Toros’ offense in their fight for a place in the final. The opener Enny Romero had no decision, pitching 4.1 innings, allowing five hits and three runs. Jimmy Yacabonis earned the victory, while Joe Corbett achieved his sixth save of the Round Robin.
