This stage was part of the qualifying calendar for the World Super Final scheduled in Beijing from May 1 to 3. With the cancellation, the qualifying criteria will be adjusted, taking as a reference the results of the stop in Montreal. The suspension occurs in an international attention context due to recent acts of violence in Jalisco. These events include fires, blockades, and attacks in different parts of the state. World Aquatics recognized the organizational effort of the Mexican authorities and left open the possibility of Zapopan hosting future events when security conditions allow. With this measure, the organization prioritizes the integrity of the competitors.
