United States – The Minnesota Timberwolves evened the Western Conference semifinals series this Thursday, after a dominant 117-93 victory against the Golden State Warriors, who felt the absence of Stephen Curry.
Curry, Warriors’ point guard, was unable to play due to a hamstring strain suffered in the first game of the series. His absence left Golden State without a key offensive figure.
The lack of offensive rhythm was evident from the start. Steve Kerr’s team only scored 15 points in the first quarter and reached halftime with only 39.
Minnesota, on the other hand, demonstrated team solidity. Julius Randle, a standout figure for the Timberwolves in these playoffs, shone with 24 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Anthony Edwards contributed 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 20 points off the bench.
In the Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga led the scoring with 18 points, coming off the bench. Jimmy Butler added 17, and Trayce Jackson-Davis and Buddy Hield contributed 15 each.
The series now moves to San Francisco, where the Warriors await Curry’s recovery and regain their game.
