The tournament, which featured the participation of eight teams and the Zona Cañera, an area that includes populations of the Consorcio Azucarero Central (formerly Ingenio Barahona), offered exciting matches from the regular season to the grand final. The team from the Municipal District of Uvilla won the championship of the 1st LIDETA Christmas Cup, an event dedicated to journalist Tomás Aquino Méndez and Deputy Minister Juan Garrigó Mejía. The Tamayo Sports League, led by Roide Cuevas Jiménez, Wagner Geraldo, and Jairo Cuevas, was in charge of organizing this tournament, which stood out for its discipline, brotherhood, and camaraderie.The final match, decisive after a tie in the final series, saw Uvilla crowned champion in a festive and colorful atmosphere, demonstrating the organizational capacity and harmony of the athletes.
