The United States selection continues its preparation for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, strengthening its pitching staff with the incorporation of Nolan McLean, Clay Holmes, and Joe Ryan into its starting rotation.

Nolan McLean, prospect number 11 according to MLB Pipeline, left a notable mark after his promotion to the Major Leagues last August. The 24-year-old pitcher recorded an ERA of 2.06, with 57 strikeouts in 48 innings distributed over eight starts.
Clay Holmes, who served as a reliever in his first seven seasons in the Majors, successfully transitioned to a starter after signing with the Mets before last season. In his new role, Holmes accumulated an ERA of 3.53 in 165.2 innings pitched.
Joe Ryan, ace of the Minnesota Twins, was called to the All-Star Game in 2025 and surpassed the 190-strikeout barrier for the second time in three seasons.
