Toros del Este Dominate Leones del Escogido at Quisqueya

SANTO DOMINGO – Los Toros del Este demonstrated their superiority by defeating the Leones del Escogido with a score of 4-1 at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium. The team from La Romana, with a timely offense and solid pitching, consolidated its position in second place in the tournament and extended its lead in the particular series. With this triumph, the Bulls improved their record to 14-13, recovering after two consecutive defeats. Furthermore, they extended their dominance over the Lions to 7-1 in their direct confrontations. The Leones del Escogido, for their part, now have a record of 11-16.

Muñoz and De La Cruz lead the bullfighting offensive

Yairo Muñoz continued his good moment by connecting his tenth double of the season and driving in his 12th run. Bryan De La Cruz also stood out, driving in his 20th run and solidifying himself as the league’s RBI leader. De La Cruz extended his streak to eight consecutive games hitting and producing or scoring at least one run. The newly incorporated Tres Barrera had a standout debut with a run-scoring single. Rafael Lantigua shined with three hits, an RBI, and a stolen base.
