Toros del Este Bolsters Roster with Key Additions for the Upcoming Season
La Romana, Dominican Republic – Los Toros del Este have announced the incorporation of several key players to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM). Among the new acquisitions are pitchers, a third baseman, and catchers, all with the aim of enhancing the team’s performance. The official announcement reveals the arrival of pitchers Phillips Valdez and Julián Fernández, third baseman Dawell Lugo, and catchers Pedro Severino and Julio E. Rodríguez.Phillips Valdez joins the team after outstanding performances as a reliever, establishing himself as an important arm in the league. For his part, Julián Fernández, with experience in the Major Leagues, will strengthen the pitching staff with his professional career. Dawell Lugo, recognized for his defense and experience in LIDOM, will contribute both in defense and offense to the infield. The catching position will also be reinforced with the arrival of Pedro Severino, a veteran of Major Leagues and Gold Glove winner, along with Julio E. Rodríguez, who will provide defensive consistency. These new additions are in addition to the retentions previously announced by the organization, reaffirming the commitment of the Toros del Este to build a competitive team for the next season.
