LA ROMANA – Los Toros del Este continue to reinforce their starting pitchers with the incorporation of the left-handed Aaron Leasher, who is already part of the team’s roster. Leasher, ready to be used, could see action as a reliever against the Estrellas Orientales, before joining the starting rotation. The 29-year-old pitcher is preparing for his third season in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), after his time with the Estrellas Orientales in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. In his two previous seasons in the league, Leasher has a 1-3 record, with an ERA of 3.18 in 13 starts. He has accumulated 34 innings pitched, allowing 31 hits, 10 walks and striking out 31, with a WHIP of 1.21.
In 2024, Leasher played with the Wei Chuan Dragons in the Chinese Professional Baseball League, where he pitched 27.2 innings, striking out 28 batters and finishing with an ERA of 3.25. The Toros del Este began the month of December with a two-game lead in second place in the standings and with the best starting rotation in the league, excelling in effectiveness (3.88), strikeouts (103), wins (6), and quality starts (12).He is a left-handed pitcher tested in LIDOM, with whom we seek to maintain the quality and depth of our rotation, which has been a strong point, for these last weeks of the Regular Series.
