Titans of the South Conquer Metros in the First Game of the LNB Final
Santiago, R.D. – Los Titanes del Sur started on the right foot the Final Series of the National Basketball League (LNB), surpassing the Metros de Santiago with a score of 82-79 in a match full of emotions at the Gran Arena del Cibao Oscar Gobaira.
The Titans’ defense was fundamental from the second quarter onwards, managing to stop the home team’s momentum and take the lead in the series, which is decided by the best of seven games.
Jassel Pérez led the Titans’ offense with 25 points and four rebounds, while Tyran De Lattibeaudiere, an imported player, contributed 21 points. Richard Bautista also had an outstanding performance, adding 13 points and eight assists.
By the Metros, Omar Silverio was the most outstanding player with 17 points, followed by Juan Guerrero, who scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Adris de León and Jhery Matos contributed 11 points each.Party Analysis
The Titans managed to prevail in three of the four quarters: 17-16, 26-22 and 28-22, despite the Metros winning the last quarter with a score of 11-19. The advantage obtained in the third period, with a streak of 16-6 in the first five minutes, proved crucial for the final result.
Regarding percentages, the Titans recorded 40% field goal effectiveness, while the Metros reached 39%. The Titans dominated rebounds with 44 against 36 and assists with 20 against 19. The Titans’ defense limited the Metros to 36% accuracy in the first half, which allowed them to reach halftime with a 43-38 lead.Next Meeting
