LAS ROZAS, MADRID – The Spanish National Football Team began its preparation for the upcoming friendlies against Serbia and Egypt with a training session at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, under the direction of coach Luis de la Fuente.
In this first practice, Lamine Yamal, Marcos Llorente, and Aymeric Laporte did not participate in the main group. These players performed specific physical work due to accumulated wear and tear and some discomfort, according to the coaching staff.
The session included the incorporation of Joan García, Víctor Muñoz, Cristhian Mosquera, and Ander Barrenetxea, who joined the group and experienced their first time with the absolute selection. This call represents the last one before the 2026 World Cup.
The rest of the team completed the session in a relaxed atmosphere, after several months without concentrating. The practice included physical exercises and ball work, ending with tactical aspects behind closed doors.
Spain will face Serbia on Friday, March 27th, and Egypt on Tuesday, the 31st. These friendly matches are crucial in their international preparation.
The Spanish team will continue their training in Las Rozas until Thursday, the day they will travel to Castellón to continue with their planning.
