The Spanish rugby 7 team finished in eighth position in the Cape Town tournament, South Africa, corresponding to the second stage of the World Series.

In the final day, the Spanish team suffered defeats against Great Britain (10-29) and Australia (17-24).

The match against Great Britain saw the British seeking revenge after their previous defeats. Spain, for its part, was diminished by the absence of Pol Pla and the injury of Manu Moreno.

Gabriel Rocaríes scored the first point for Spain, but Great Britain quickly responded with a tie. The temporary exclusion of Roberto Ponce, for an infraction, marked a turning point in the match.

Matt Davidson scored his second try, and Spain, playing with one less player, allowed the British to regain the ball and score a crucial try.

In the second half, Eduardo López scored a try for Spain, but Great Britain extended their lead, finishing the match with a score of 10-29.

In the match against Australia, which defined the last spot, Spain did not achieve a good defense in the first half, which allowed Australia to take the lead.

Aden Ekanayake scored twice for Australia, and Jayden Blake extended the lead before halftime.

Eduardo López and Beau Morrison brought Spain closer on the scoreboard with tries. Despite the effort, the match ended with a 17-24 defeat.
