Jannik Sinner Makes Key Changes Before Wimbledon

London – Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, currently number one in the world according to the ATP ranking, has made significant changes to his technical team before his participation in the Wimbledon tournament. This information was confirmed during his training session this Thursday.

In the training session, the absence of Marco Panichi, his physical trainer, and Ulises Badio, his physiotherapist, was observed. Sky Italia confirmed the departure of both professionals from Sinner’s team.

Both Panichi and Badio have extensive experience in the professional tennis circuit. Previously, they both collaborated for several years with Novak Djokovic, recognized as the tennis player with the most Grand Slam titles in the history of the ATP circuit and currently ranked sixth.

The incorporation of Panichi and Badio into Sinner’s team took place at the end of last year. This occurred after the departure of Umberto Ferrara and Giacomo Naldi, after Sinner agreed to a three-month sanction with WADA due to a double positive in Indian Wells in 2024.

These changes in Sinner’s team come after suffering defeats in the finals of Rome and Roland Garros, both against Carlos Alcaraz, and his elimination in the second round of the Halle tournament against Alexander Bublik.

Sinner is scheduled to make his debut at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, this Tuesday. He will face his compatriot Luca Nardi.
