Milan Prosecutor’s Office Investigates Alleged Prostitution Ring Linked to Serie A Footballers

The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation into an alleged network of exploitation and facilitation of prostitution involving soccer players, including Serie A players. The investigation has revealed a list of “keywords” with at least 70 surnames of players.

According to local reports, these names, which belong to both established players and young athletes, were included in search and seizure orders to analyze mobile devices and look for relevant evidence.

Among the mentioned teams are Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Verona, Torino and Sassuolo, among others.

Italian authorities are analyzing conversations and communications to determine if some of the soccer players attended events organized by those allegedly responsible for the network and if they used additional paid services.

The inclusion of the players’ surnames is based on their appearance in phone taps and other elements gathered during the investigation. The investigation focuses on the existence of an organized structure dedicated to managing and exploiting encounters with women, and not on the conduct of the alleged clients.

In Italy, paying for sexual services is not a crime, nor is voluntary prostitution. However, criminal law does punish those who organize, facilitate, or financially benefit from such activity.

The investigation, led by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office, has so far resulted in four people under house arrest, accused of managing a network that exploited prostitution and organized nightlife events that included the use of “laughing gas”, a recreational drug.

The organization offered “all-inclusive” packages that, for several thousand euros, included dinners in exclusive venues, luxury accommodation, and the company of women.

The network operated under the guise of an event agency based in the metropolitan area of Milan, which for years organized parties while managing the recruitment of women, including professional ‘escorts’.
