The study “Evaluation of the Impact of the 2025 Copa Libertadores Final” revealed important details about the profile of attendees and their expenses. Most of the attendees were men (88%) with an average age of 38 years old. Although most of the tourists came from Brazil (94%), there were also fans from Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and the United States. The average spending per visitor was $1,044, exceeding the $760 recorded in the 2019 final, also held in Lima. A key factor in this increase was that 28% of international tourists extended their stay to explore other Peruvian destinations, a figure higher than the 19% recorded in 2019. Cusco was the preferred destination for 77% of visitors, followed by the Ica region (28%), where they toured the Paracas Bay and the Nazca Lines. The study also indicates that 34% of the attendees had already visited Peru before, and 18% were present at the 2019 Libertadores final. Regarding accommodation, 44% opted for hotels, while 29% used platforms like Airbnb. The final took place on November 29 at the Estadio Monumental in Lima, with Flamengo’s 1-0 victory over Palmeiras, thanks to a goal by Danilo, which gave the Brazilian club its fourth Copa Libertadores title.
