Philadelphia, PA – Baseball celebrates a new milestone. Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies joins a select group of legends after hitting four home runs in a single game on August 28, 2025. Schwarber becomes the 21st player to achieve this feat in MLB history, spanning over 130 years. This feat is even more remarkable if we consider that figures like Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Albert Pujols and Alex Rodríguez, some of the most prolific hitters in history, never managed to hit four home runs in a single game. The rarity of this achievement is evident in that, for much of the 20th century, it was recorded only about once per decade. The first antecedent dates back to 1894, with Bobby Lowe, and 36 years passed until Lou Gehrig repeated the feat in 1932.
