Kansas City Royals Crush Pirates with Power and Pitching

KANSAS CITY – The Kansas City Royals dominated the Pittsburgh Pirates with an explosive offensive performance and a solid presentation on the mound, securing a resounding victory with a score of 9-3 at Kauffman Stadium. The Monday Night game was led by outstanding home runs from Bobby Witt Jr. and Salvador Pérez, in addition to a solid start by rookie Noah Cameron. Noah Cameron (3-4) had his best outing of the season, throwing seven solid innings. He allowed only three hits and two runs, both the product of a home run by Tommy Pham in the third inning. The lefty also impressed with seven strikeouts, solidifying his place in the rotation. Kansas City’s offense responded early and with force. Vinnie Pasquantino opened the scoring with his 15th home run of the season in the first inning. In the third inning, Salvador Pérez hit a run-scoring double, breaking the tie and giving the Royals a 3-2 lead. Pérez continued his outstanding performance in the fifth inning, connecting his 11th home run of the year, a solo shot to left field. Bobby Witt Jr. also shined, batting 2-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Witt Jr. extended his hitting streak to 11 games and reached 13 home runs on the season, including a two-run homer in the fourth inning that extended the lead to 6-2. He added a sacrifice fly in the sixth to drive in another run.
