Rodrygo Goes, Out with Tendinosis: When Will the Real Madrid Forward Return?

Real Madrid faces a major setback. Rodrygo Goes, their talented Brazilian forward, will be out of action for approximately ten days due to tendinosis in the hamstring of his right leg.

The club confirmed the injury after conducting medical tests on the player. The persistent discomfort that Rodrygo had been feeling prevented him from training normally in the last sessions, which led the medical services to carry out the relevant studies.

The coaching staff expects the forward to be available for the La Liga match against Osasuna, scheduled for February 21st.

In addition to the injury, Rodrygo will not be able to participate in the first leg of the playoff prior to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, scheduled for February 17, due to a disciplinary suspension.

The player was sent off in the last European match against SL Benfica in Lisbon. The Italian referee Davide Massa made the decision and, subsequently, the UEFA Ethics, Control and Disciplinary Committee imposed a two-match ban for unsportsmanlike conduct.

This is the second physical problem Rodrygo is facing this year. After the Spanish Super Cup final against FC Barcelona, the forward had already been absent due to discomfort.

In recent matches, Rodrygo has had little participation, with limited minutes in the matches against Benfica and Rayo Vallecano.

The Real Madrid technical staff will closely monitor the player’s recovery, with specific sessions focused on his rehabilitation. The team hopes to have their star striker in the crucial part of the season.
