Alberto Rodríguez, of the Águilas Cibaeñas, Out of Danger After Impact to the Face

Santo Domingo – Águilas Cibaeñas outfielder Alberto Rodríguez is stable and out of danger after being hit in the face by a ball during the game against the Gigantes del Cibao last Tuesday, January 6th.

The incident occurred in the second inning, when Rodriguez hit a single. On the play, the ball hit him directly in his right cheekbone, forcing his immediate exit from the game.

According to the team’s medical report, after the initial evaluation, it was determined that the player did not suffer facial fractures. He underwent a suture on the affected cheekbone and received the necessary treatment.

After being attended to at the stadium, Rodríguez was transferred for observation and medical follow-up. The club has reported that the player remains stable and is following the recovery protocol.

The Águilas Cibaeñas announced that a date has not yet been set for Rodríguez’s return to the field, depending on the evolution of the inflammation and the healing process.
