Referee Erick Mejía Suffers Fainting Spell in LNB Match
La Vega – Dominican referee Erick Mejía collapsed while directing a National Basketball League (LNB) game this Friday at the Fernando Teruel sports complex in La Vega.
The incident occurred during the match, generating alarm among those present.
Initially, player Eloy Vargas, from Héroes de Moca, went to Mejía’s aid before he completely fell on the court.
As of yet, no official medical report has been released regarding Mejía’s health condition. Rumors of a possible heart attack have been circulating, but the authorities have not confirmed this information.
