Endrick arrives at Olympique Lyonnais: Loan with an eye to the future
Real Madrid has formalized the loan of Brazilian striker Endrick to Olympique Lyonnais until June 30, 2026. This decision seeks to provide the young attacker with the opportunity to gain playing time and acquire competitive experience in the second half of the season. The French club confirmed the incorporation through a statement and a promotional video on its social media.The loan agreement, according to the French side, includes a payment of one million euros, covering approximately half of the player’s salary for the next six months. Endrick, coming from Palmeiras, will wear the number 9 jersey at Lyon, a number with history in the club. Olympique Lyonnais highlighted that Endrick’s offensive profile, his impact on the field, and his energy will be crucial to face the second part of the season. The forward will join the team’s training sessions on December 29, becoming available to Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca. Currently, Lyon is in fifth place in Ligue 1 and leads the Europa League. The loan seeks for Endrick to have more playing opportunities and maintain his chances of being considered for the World Cup with the Brazilian national team, with which he has already played 14 matches. In his last season, the forward participated in 37 matches, accumulating 848 minutes and scoring seven goals, five of them in the Copa del Rey.
