Endrick Joins Olympique Lyonnais on Loan Until 2026

Real Madrid has announced the loan of Brazilian forward Endrick to Olympique Lyonnais until June 30, 2026. This decision seeks to provide the young attacker with the opportunity to gain greater competitive continuity during the second half of the season. The French club confirmed the incorporation through an official statement and a video on its social media, where Endrick is shown exploring the city of Lyon, accompanied by the message: “Christmas arrives early this year.” According to Olympique Lyonnais, the loan is paid, with a maximum cost of one million euros, which covers approximately half of the player’s salary for the next six months. Endrick, coming from Palmeiras, will wear the number 9 jersey at Lyon, an emblematic number in the club, previously worn by the outstanding Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson between 1999 and 2003.

“Endrick’s offensive profile, his impact in decisive areas and his energy will be key to facing the second part of the season, marked by important objectives,” Olympique de Lyon highlighted in its statement.

The forward will join the team’s training sessions on December 29, becoming available to Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca. Currently, Lyon is in fifth place in Ligue 1 and leads the Europa League, with five wins and one loss. This loan aims for Endrick to increase his playing time, which has been limited at Real Madrid, and maintain his chances of being considered by Carlo Ancelotti for the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada with the Brazilian national team, with which he has played 14 international matches. In the previous season with Real Madrid, the forward participated in 37 matches, accumulating 848 minutes and scoring seven goals, five of them in the Copa del Rey, where he was fundamental in reaching the final. In this campaign, his participation was minimal, with only 99 minutes in three official matches, starting in only one, and being relegated in the offensive rotation, even behind the youth player Gonzalo García.
