Dominican Republic U-21 Women’s Volleyball Team Debuts in the Pan American Cup

Alajuela, Costa Rica – The Dominican Republic’s Women’s National Volleyball Team, U-21 category, is ready for its debut in the U-21 Pan American Cup. The first match will take place this Tuesday, July 22nd at 9:00 p.m. (Dominican time) against the host team, Costa Rica, at the Monserrat Sports Center in Alajuela. The young Dominican volleyball players arrived in Costa Rica last Saturday, focusing on the final training sessions to refine details for the tournament. The main objective is to advance to the decisive stages of the competition. The Ministry of Sports and Farmacias GBC support the team’s participation. The second commitment of the Dominican Republic team is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, where they will face Mexico, also at 9:00 PM (RD time). This match is crucial within Group A of the tournament.

Format and Participating Teams

The 2025 edition of the U-21 Women’s Pan American Cup will feature the participation of seven national teams, distributed into two groups:
  • Group A: Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Costa Rica (host)
  • Group B: United States (current two-time champion), Canada, Chile, and Puerto Rico
The United States, with titles in 2017, 2022, and 2023, will seek to obtain the three-peat this year. The matches will take place from July 22 to 27, with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
