LNMB Dominicana Ready for the International Maxi Basketball Tournament in Medellín 2025
Santo Domingo – The National Maxi Basketball League of the Dominican Republic (LNMB) has confirmed its participation in the IV International Maxi Basketball Tournament Macialero 2025. The event will take place in Medellin, Colombia, from August 1st to 10th. The Dominican delegation will be composed of four teams, competing in the 50+, 55+ and 60+ categories. The participation of more than 40 veteran athletes representing the country is expected. Francisco Pimentel, general director of LNMB, and Elíézer Grullón, technical director of the delegation, shared details about this important participation. Pimentel highlighted the magnitude of the tournament: “We will be competing with more than 100 teams from at least 18 countries, including European nations. This not only represents an achievement for our league, but also an opportunity to continue promoting the Country Brand.”The league, which will celebrate its seventh anniversary in September, has dedicated the last five months to the physical and technical preparation of its athletes. LNMB representatives also emphasized the social work they do through sports and requested support from public and private institutions. “We always need support to cover travel expenses, uniforms, logistics and continue to raise the name of the Dominican Republic,” said Algrullón.
