Raphinha, out due to overload, misses the Copa del Rey quarter-finals

Barcelona forward Raphael Dias ‘Raphinha’ will be out of action for a week due to a strain in the adductor of his right leg. This means the player will miss the crucial Copa del Rey quarter-final match, scheduled for this Tuesday against Albacete, as confirmed by the Catalan club this Monday. The Brazilian international played the first half of the match that Barça won on Sunday at Elche’s field (1-3). However, he was substituted during halftime by the English Marcus Rashford. Raphinha did not participate in training this Monday with the rest of his teammates at the Joan Gamper Sports City. His absence adds to the already known absences of Andreas Christensen, Pedro González ‘Pedri’ and Pablo Páez Gavira ‘Gavi’. On the other hand, defender Jules Koundé, who finished Sunday’s match with physical discomfort, did train. Coach Hansi Flick is expected to provide more details on his condition in the press conference after training this Monday.
