Santo Domingo – Rafael Pérez marks a milestone in Dominican sports by becoming the first padel coach in the country to obtain two international certifications. His most recent accreditation comes from the prestigious Gustavo Pratto Academy, recognized worldwide for its excellence in the training of professional players.

International Recognition

Pratto’s Academy, which has trained prominent figures such as Arturo Coello, Paula José María, Edu Alonso, Beatriz Caldera, Martín Di Nenno, Luciano Capra, Miguel Lamperti, Maxi Sánchez and Alejandra Alonso, among others, is a benchmark in the world of padel. Pratto, who developed his own training methodology, expressed his gratitude to Pérez for trusting his institution to carry out his in-person training at the Vegas Sport facilities in Valladolid, Spain.

Career and Commitment

Currently, Pérez combines his work as a Commercial and Sports Advisor at the Pádel X Academy, located in Santo Domingo within the Republic Pádel Club, the first padel club open to the public in the Dominican Republic.

The creation of the Royal Padel Federation and the correct organization they have been carrying out as an institution has motivated me to put my acquired knowledge in favor of padel in the Dominican Republic.

In addition, Pérez collaborates as a tactical coach at the Padel Alma Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to identifying and preparing young Dominican talents to compete professionally in this booming sport.
