Pujols Rests Dominican Stars Against Israel in the 2026 World Baseball Classic
Miami – Dominican Republic’s manager, Albert Pujols, announced that Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Julio Rodríguez, and Austin Wells will not play this Monday against Israel in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
The Dominican team, with an impeccable record, will face Israel, which currently has a 1-1 record in the tournament.
Pujols explained that the rest will allow key players to be in optimal condition for the next game.
The replacements for the game will be Carlos Santana at first base, Oneil Cruz in center field, and Agustín Ramírez as catcher.
