San Juan, Puerto Rico – Caribbean basketball fans are preparing for a new epic showdown. The men’s national basketball teams of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic will face each other in an exciting exhibition game next Sunday, August 17, at 7:00 p.m., in the emblematic Roberto Clemente Coliseum. This encounter, organized by the Puerto Rico Basketball Federation (FBPUR), will serve as crucial preparation for both teams ahead of the FIBA AmeriCup 2025, which will begin on August 22 in Managua, Nicaragua.

This will be another great Caribbean clash between two basketball powerhouses. We are building a tradition between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to continue taking Caribbean basketball to the next level.

The friendly rivalry between these two basketball powerhouses already had a first chapter in 2023, a match that took place in the Choliseo before a passionate crowd. Now, the rematch is scheduled with high expectations and fans eager to relive the intensity of this Caribbean classic.

We thank Puerto Rico for this new opportunity. That first experience was high-level and this time we are going with more preparation and with the clear goal of taking the victory.
