Piastri leads Norris in Montmeló free practice: Spanish Grand Prix

Australian Oscar Piastri, driving his McLaren, set the pace in the third and final free practice session of the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix, held at the Montmeló circuit, Barcelona.

Piastri, who leads the championship, beat his teammate, Briton Lando Norris, by a margin of 526 thousandths.

Norris, second in the session, is three points behind Piastri in the overall standings.

Piastri’s time on his fastest lap was one minute, 12 seconds and 387 milliseconds, completing the 4.675 meters of the Catalan circuit.

Monegasque Charles Leclerc placed third, 743 thousandths of a second behind Piastri.

Both Piastri, Norris, and Leclerc recorded their best times using soft tires.
