Santo Domingo, RD. The Dominican Republic is preparing to welcome Perfect Game, the renowned international baseball prospect evaluation platform. The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, met with David Ortiz, Cooperstown immortal, and platform executives to discuss the details of their arrival in the country.

Minister Cruz expressed his gratitude for Perfect Game’s decision to establish itself in the Dominican Republic, highlighting the positive impact this will have on the local baseball industry.

“Without a doubt, this is a very important contribution to the country’s baseball industry. I can already tell you that you can count on our support from the Ministry of Sports,” stated engineer Cruz.

Cruz plans to inform President Luis Abinader about the fruitful conversation, with the aim of formalizing and facilitating the arrival of Perfect Game to the country as soon as possible.

The minister emphasized the importance of this platform for the development of Dominican sports talent.

“Our country is, rightly, eager for these opportunities and for this internationally certified platform, so that our children, our young people, and the sporting talent of the Dominican Republic continue to be elevated and projected,” he emphasized.

David Ortiz, who joins Perfect Game as an image, thanked Minister Cruz for his support and the opportunity to collaborate in the organization of youth baseball events, following the model of the world-class events that Perfect Game holds elsewhere.

Ortiz highlighted that this initiative will help improve the image of Dominican baseball.

“This will be the tool that will clear that dark cloud hanging over the Dominican player’s history,” Ortiz highlighted.

Perfect Game plans to build a facility with eight stadiums, which will boost sports development, tourism, and job creation.

The platform has over two million registered players in the United States and organizes over 12,000 events per year.

Perfect Game showcases are designed to offer a safe and competitive environment, providing players and their families with a level playing field to improve their skills.

Also present at the meeting were Perfect Game executives: Rob Ponger, Alex Tutt, Mackenzie Tole, and Rick Truman.
