Pau Gasol, President of the IOC Athletes’ Commission: A New Olympic Leadership

Former Spanish basketball player Pau Gasol has been appointed president of the Athletes’ Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during the Milan-Cortina Games. Gasol, who was already part of this commission since August 2, 2021, after his designation at the Tokyo Olympic Games, will now lead the representation of athletes in the IOC Executive Commission.
