Young pilot Pau Alsina dies after accident in Aragon
The motorcycling world mourns the loss of Pau Alsina, a promising 17-year-old Catalan rider, who passed away this Monday in a hospital in Zaragoza. The young sportsman had suffered a serious accident last Saturday during a training session at the MotorLand Aragón circuit. The news was confirmed by the Aragonese Government through a statement.The Estrella Galicia 0,0 team, to which Alsina belonged, issued a heartfelt message in memory of the pilot, highlighting his dedication and closeness. Alsina, originally from Sallent de Llobregat, Barcelona, was participating in the training sessions prior to the FIM Junior GP championship. For the next race, which will be held on the weekend at the Aragon speed circuit, the young rider started as thirteenth classified. The Government of Aragon extended its “most sincere condolences” to Alsina’s family, friends, and colleagues. According to his website, Alsina, born on January 22, 2008, combined his passion for motorcycling with his studies.
