The New England Patriots announced this Thursday an emotional tribute to their legend, Tom Brady, who led the team to the conquest of six Super Bowls. The recognition will materialize with the presentation of a 3.6-meter bronze statue on August 8th. The event will take place before the first preseason game, where the Patriots will face the Washington Commanders at Gillette Stadium. The announcement was made through a video on the team’s social media, which combined iconic moments from Brady’s career with the sculptor’s statue creation process.

Last year we commissioned a local sculptor to create a life-size bronze statue to perpetuate the legendary legacy of the great Tom Brady.

Considered one of the best players in NFL history and a future Hall of Famer, Brady left an indelible mark on the Patriots.

The Golden Era of Tom Brady with the Patriots

The former quarterback led the Patriots to victory in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, and LIII. These triumphs tied the Steelers as the most decorated teams in the Super Bowl era, both with six trophies. Brady, already a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame since June of last year, will be the first player to be honored with a statue in the team’s history, which dates back to 1959, when they were founded as the Boston Patriots. Tom Brady was selected by New England in the sixth round of the 2000 Draft. In addition to the six titles with the Patriots, he won one more Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in Super Bowl LV, before his retirement at the end of the 2022 season. Brady holds multiple records in the NFL, including the most playoff wins (35), completed passes (7,753), passing yards (89,214), and touchdown passes (649). He is also the player with the most Super Bowl appearances, with 10, winning on seven occasions. Currently, Brady works as an analyst at Fox Sports and is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Tom Brady statue will be located in ‘Patriot Place Plaza’, in front of the team’s Hall of Fame at Gillette Stadium.
