London. Ghanaian footballer Thomas Partey, currently with Villarreal CF, is facing serious legal problems. He has been charged in a London court with two new counts of rape. These new accusations add to those already existing since July, increasing the seriousness of the situation.According to judicial sources, the new charges stem from a complaint filed in August by a different alleged victim. The total charges now amount to seven counts of rape related to three women, in addition to an additional charge of sexual assault involving a fourth complainant.Partey pleaded not guilty to the initial charges in September, being released on bail while the legal process advances. The footballer is scheduled to appear again before the court on March 13 to respond to the new charges. It is important to remember that Partey arrived at Villarreal as a free agent, after his contract with Arsenal FC ended, at a time when the accusations were already public knowledge.
